ASCO Series 238 equivalent - 2/2 normally closed, pilot-operated brass solenoid valve with built-in pilot and floating diaphragm, G 1-1/2 BSPP, FPM seals, quoted against the 230 V 50 Hz build. Flow differs materially and should be checked before substituting: the ASCO part has a 45 mm orifice and Kv 27 m3/h, while this valve has a 37 mm orifice and Kv 21 m3/h, roughly 22% less flow. ASCO does not offer an intermediate size between 30 mm and 45 mm. Both are rated to 10 bar, and this valve opens from 0.15 bar differential against 0.5 bar. The ASCO catalogue number includes a coil; this valve is supplied without one, so a coil should be selected separately.
