Ashcroft 1009 Duralife, 3 1/2 in (100 mm) dial, all-welded 304 stainless steel case with a removable bayonet ring and polycarbonate window, 1/2 in male NPT lower-back connection, polished stainless steel front flange, supplied dry, 0-6000 psi on a dual dial with psi on the inner scale and bar on the outer scale, accuracy plus/minus 1% of span dry (ASME B40.100 Grade 1A, equivalent to EN 837-1 class 1.0), IP65 with the fill plug closed. Suited to hydraulics, pumps and compressors and general industrial service. Differences from the WIKA 213.53.100 that this entry cross-references, so you can judge the swap. The wetted parts are a 316 stainless steel Bourdon tube with a 316L stainless steel process connection, where the WIKA is a copper-alloy measuring system gauge; Ashcroft offers no copper-alloy or bronze system with this 1/2 in NPT connection, so the wetted material changes with the swap. The case ring is a removable bayonet rather than a crimp ring. The case is 98.8 mm across against 107 mm on the WIKA, but the front flange shares the WIKA's 132 mm flange diameter and 116 mm bolt circle on three holes at 120 degrees, so it lands on the same panel holes; note that Ashcroft specifies a panel cut-out of 96 to 98 mm for this build while the WIKA front-flange cut-out is 104 mm, so on an existing WIKA panel the flange will cover a hole larger than Ashcroft's stated maximum. Ashcroft rates continuous service at 75% of span, that is 4500 psi, with proof pressure 110% of span above 600 psi, where the WIKA is rated for steady service at full scale and 1.3 times full scale short-time. The WIKA is specified with a blow-out device on the case circumference to EN 837-1; Ashcroft publishes no pressure-relief provision for the 1009 beyond its ventable fill plug. The gauge is supplied dry with a ventable fill plug; if it is to be filled in service, Ashcroft's liquid-fillable dry case option should be specified, as it is a separate ordering option rather than the default of a dry build. This is a bayonet-ring industrial gauge, not a solid-front safety-pattern gauge - the solid-front blowout-disc construction belongs to Ashcroft's 4 1/2 in Duragauge line, not to the 1009.
