Description

Mitutoyo 167-101 / MB-25 is a 25 mm micrometer setting standard used for accurately setting or checking outside micrometers and other continuous-scale measuring instruments. It has a 6.35 mm diameter, ±1.5 µm accuracy, flat micro-lap measuring faces, 0.3 µm flatness and 2 µm parallelism for reliable reference setting. Starrett 234MA Series Micrometer Setting Standard, 25 mm

Starrett 234MA-25 (EDP 50970) is the 25 mm size in Starrett's 234 line of end measuring rods, supplied with an insulating handle. It is made from special tool steel in rod form with the ends hardened and lapped, and is used for checking and setting micrometers, comparing gauges and checking precision measuring tools. Starrett gives 1/4 in (6.3 mm) as the rod diameter across the 25–150 mm sizes. One difference a buyer must note against the Mitutoyo 167-101 supplied here: the Starrett 234 line is built with ends lapped to a spherical radius, while the Mitutoyo has flat micro-lapped measuring faces specified at 0.3 µm flatness, 2 µm parallelism and ±1.5 µm length accuracy.
