Both are internally piloted bistable spool valves, both carry G1/8 on all five ports, both run 2 to 8 bar, and both are IP65 with the connectors fitted. Rated flow is 450 l/min, measured at 6 bar inlet with a 1 bar pressure drop; Festo publishes 800 l/min for its valve as a standard nominal flow rate referred to DIN 1343 standard conditions and does not state the test pressures behind that figure, so read the two as indicative rather than measured alike - but the gap is wide enough to expect slower actuator movement wherever the line is flow-limited. Rated -10 to +60 degC ambient against -5 to +50 degC for the Festo valve, on compressed air from +5 to +50 degC against Festo's -5 to +50 degC. The manual override is push-and-turn locking as standard, where the Festo valve's is non-detenting unless its locking accessory is fitted. The coils are supplied with their own PG7 connectors on 17 mm coils, where the Festo valve takes 2-pin plug sockets, so Festo sockets or cables will not transfer.

The Janatics DS254SS60-W shown here matches it on valve function, port size and coil voltage, and all five body ports are G1/8 on both valves. It is the smaller valve of the two and you should check three figures against your application before ordering. Maximum working pressure is 8 bar, against 10 bar for the Parker part. Rated flow is 450 l/min against 660 l/min for the Parker, both measured at 6 bar inlet with a 1 bar pressure drop, so plan on roughly a third less flow. Minimum working pressure is 2 bar, where the Parker part will shift from 1.5 bar. Temperature also differs: this valve is rated +5 °C to +60 °C where the Parker part is rated -10 °C to +50 °C. The Parker number covers the valve and solenoid only, with the plug ordered separately and built to the 15 mm Form C / ISO 15217 pattern; this valve is supplied complete with its 17 mm coils and PG7 connectors.

One difference to check before ordering: this valve is rated at 450 L/min with 6 bar inlet and a 1 bar pressure drop, where Airtac's published flow chart for this body shows roughly 600 L/min at the same condition (Airtac quotes an equivalent orifice of 10.2 mm2, Cv 0.6). Size the circuit on the 450 L/min figure if cylinder speed matters.
