General Instruments BDT-C Bimetal Dial Thermometer provides local mechanical temperature indication with 0...100 °C primary scale and °F secondary scale on a dual scale 4" / 100 mm aluminium dial. The thermometer has an SS304 case with bayonet type bezel, shatterproof glass window, IP-68 weatherproof protection, micrometer pointer zero reset, ±1% FSD accuracy and 125% FSD over range. The 6 mm OD SS316 stem has 100 mm total length, and the 1/2" Male NPT SS316 compression fitting slides on the stem to set the insertion depth during installation. The back mount construction positions the connection behind the dial for axial installation on panels, vessels and equipment where rear entry is required. The design is suitable for process pipelines, tanks, equipment panels, machinery packages and utility systems where a durable back-mounted local temperature indicator is required.

Note: The pointer reading seen in the product images is because the bimetal thermometer begins indicating temperature as soon as the stem is exposed to its surroundings. Therefore, a reading above zero is normal even for a new/unused product. This also confirms that the thermometer is functioning properly.
