Technical overview
The Airtac 4V400 Series provides pilot-operated directional control for pneumatic cylinders and actuators used in automated machinery. A single 220 V AC solenoid rated at 4.5 VA shifts the 5/2-way valve, with spring return and a choice of internal or external pilot supply. The valve has PT 1/2" connections, a 0.15 to 0.8 MPa operating pressure range, 1.2 MPa proof pressure, 0.05 seconds or less response time and a maximum switching frequency of 3 cycles/sec. The flow path has an orifice area of 48.0 mm² and a flow coefficient of 2.82. Its aluminum-alloy body is specified for 40-micron filtered air from -20 to 70 °C. The 220 V AC solenoid coil is supplied with a terminal-type connector for wiring and installation. IP65 coil protection, Class B insulation and lubrication-free operation support reliable service. Typical uses include cylinder control, packaging and assembly machinery, material-handling equipment and pneumatic control panels.
