Technical overview
Omron NX-ID5442 is a 16-point DC digital input unit for NX-series I/O systems, built for 24 VDC PNP input wiring in machine control panels. It collects signals from proximity sensors, limit switches, push buttons and other field devices, then transfers them through the NX I/O bus to the connected controller or coupler. The module is compatible with Omron NX remote I/O stations, EtherCAT couplers and Sysmac machine controllers, making it suitable for packaging equipment, conveyors, assembly machines and general automation input expansion.
