Festo CPE18-M3H-5J-1/4 (Festo 163787) - unchanged, confirmed twice
Festo CPE Compact Performance — CPE18 (G1/4)
Festo CPE18-M3H-5J-1/4 (Festo part no. 163787) - the 5/2-way double-solenoid, G1/4 Compact Performance valve this Janatics DS255SS61-A stands in for. Both are internally piloted bistable spool valves, both run 2 to 10 bar, and both are IP65 with the connectors fitted. Coil voltage differs and should be checked against the supply before swapping: Festo rates this valve 230 V AC with a -15% / +10% tolerance, giving 195.5 to 253 V, where these coils are 220 V AC +/-10%, giving 198 to 242 V. M3 is the only 220-230 V option Festo builds in this size. Ports 1, 2 and 4 are G1/4 as on the Festo valve, but exhaust ports 3 and 5 are G1/8 where Festo uses G1/4, so exhaust fittings and silencers will not carry over. Rated flow is 1200 l/min inlet to outlet and 700 l/min outlet to exhaust, measured at 6 bar inlet with a 1 bar pressure drop; Festo publishes 1500 l/min for its valve as a standard nominal flow rate referred to DIN 1343 standard conditions and does not state the test pressures behind that figure, so read the two as indicative rather than measured alike. Rated -10 to +60 degC ambient against -5 to +50 degC for the Festo valve, on compressed air from +5 to +50 degC against Festo's -5 to +50 degC. The manual override is push-and-turn locking as standard, where the Festo valve's is non-detenting unless its locking accessory is fitted. The coils are supplied with their own PG9 connectors on 22 mm coils, where the Festo valve takes a DIN EN 175301-803 form C plug socket, so a Festo socket or cable will not transfer.
