SMC CD55B32-75DCMZ
SMC C55 — Compact Cylinder, ISO Standard (21287), double acting, single rod
SMC CD55B32-75DCMZ - C55 Series compact cylinder to ISO 21287, 32 mm bore, 75 mm stroke, double acting single rod, rubber bumper, rod end male thread, built-in magnet. 75 mm is an intermediate stroke on both sides, built on a body cut to length. The ISO 21287 mounting interface is identical: G1/8 ports in two positions, 32.5 mm mounting-hole pitch, 5.5 mm through holes, M6 tapped mounting threads, 51 mm overall and 44 mm body length before stroke, 7 mm rod extension, and M8 x 1.25 female and M10 x 1.25 male rod threads with 19 mm of thread and a 17 mm rod-end nut. Both run 0.5 to 10 bar on filtered compressed air, and both use nitrile seals, urethane end bumpers and an anodised aluminium barrel. Four differences to check before you order. Piston rod. 16 mm on the SMC, 12 mm on the Janatics. The rod threads and the rod-end nut transfer, but anything that grips the rod itself - a clamp, a scraper, a bellows - will not, and the wrench flats are 14 mm against 10 mm. The thinner rod gives about 15 percent more theoretical pull force at the same pressure, and noticeably less resistance to side load and buckling. Theoretical push force is the same, both working on 804 mm2 of piston area, although the two published output tables differ because Janatics deducts friction from its figures and SMC does not. Magnetic sensors. These do not transfer. The SMC has two round auto-switch grooves on each of its four faces, for SMC's D-M9 and A9 series switches. The Janatics uses a T-groove and takes Janatics AM41 or AM42 sensors. SMC builds a T-slot groove only as a made-to-order variant, so if you are reusing existing switches, budget for new sensors and brackets. Compressed-air temperature. Both are rated -10 to +60 C ambient, but the air itself is rated -10 to 60 C on the SMC and +5 to +50 C on the Janatics. Body square. 46 mm on the SMC against 45 mm on the Janatics.
