G 1-1/4" Brass Servo-Assisted Diaphragm Solenoid Valve, 2/2 NC, FKM
IMI Buschjost series 82400, supplied under IMI Norgren, is an indirectly solenoid-actuated (servo-assisted) diaphragm valve in a brass body (CW617N), normally closed, for neutral gases and liquids. Code 8240503.9101.02400 is the ISO G, G 1-1/4" build with option 03 for an FPM seat seal, the 9101 solenoid rated 0.1 to 10 bar, and a 24 V d.c. coil. Against the ACL E107GV37 offered here, both are brass-bodied, FPM-sealed, 2/2 normally closed servo-assisted diaphragm valves on a G 1-1/4" port rated to 10 bar maximum. Three differences should be noted. The Buschjost valve has the higher flow capacity, Kv 23 m3/h against the ACL's 18 m3/h, so the ACL is not a like-for-like substitute where the full rated flow is required. The Buschjost opens from 0.1 bar minimum differential pressure against the ACL's 0.15 bar. And the Buschjost order code includes a 24 V d.c. solenoid, whereas the ACL valve is supplied as a valve body with the coil ordered separately, allowing the voltage to be chosen. Fluid temperature on the Buschjost FPM option is -5 to +110 C; the ACL's FPM build is rated -10 to +140 C.

Festo VZWF is a force pilot-operated diaphragm solenoid valve in a brass body (CW617N), normally closed, for compressed air, inert gases, water, mineral oil and neutral liquids. VZWF-L-M22C-G114-400-V-2AP4-10 (Festo part number 1492243) is the G 1-1/4" BSPP, DN 40, FPM-sealed build rated to 10 bar, supplied with an integral 110 V AC solenoid and a 3-pin plug socket. Two differences matter when considering the ACL E107GV37 offered here. First, the Festo valve is force pilot-operated and Festo rates it to open from 0 bar differential pressure, whereas the ACL is servo-assisted and requires a minimum differential pressure of 0.15 bar to open; on a gravity-fed or near-zero-head line the ACL will not open where the Festo does. Second, the Festo order code includes its 110 V AC coil, while the ACL valve is supplied as a valve body with the coil ordered separately, allowing the voltage to be chosen. Otherwise the two correspond closely: both are brass, 2/2 normally closed diaphragm valves on a G 1-1/4" port, sealed in FPM and rated to 10 bar maximum. The Festo is DN 40 with a flow coefficient of Kv 20 m3/h, against the ACL's 37 mm orifice and Kv 18 m3/h.

ASCO Series 238 equivalent - 2/2 normally closed, pilot-operated brass solenoid valve with built-in pilot and floating diaphragm, G 1-1/4 BSPP, FPM seals, quoted against the 230 V 50 Hz build. Sizes differ and should be checked before substituting: the ASCO part has a 30 mm orifice and Kv 15 m3/h, while this valve has a 37 mm orifice and Kv 18 m3/h, roughly 20% more flow. Both are rated to 10 bar, and this valve opens from 0.15 bar differential against 0.5 bar. This valve is also the physically larger of the two, about 3 kg against 1.7 kg, so check the available space and pipe support before swapping. The ASCO catalogue number includes a coil; this valve is supplied without one, so a coil should be selected separately.
